Corniglia

Corniglia

Corniglia doesn’t face the Gulf directly, but it is built on a rocky promontory overhanging the sea. From here, you can enjoy a stunning view on all the other four villages of the Cinque Terre.

Reaching Coniglia is not simple: you have to walk down the characteristic “Lardarina”, a long brick staircase consisting of 33 flights of stairs and 377 steps. Alternatively, it is possible to use the vehicular road that takes to the village from the railway station.

The village develops along the Via Fieschi, where the houses face the street on one side and the sea on the other.
